Join us on one of our multi-day off-road motorcycle tours!

The wide variety of trails and dirt roads are suitable for the intermediate rider, from the wide open high desert to heavily treed forests. Daily riding distance is typically between 125 and 150 miles per day depending on the terrain and distance between lodging.

Our tours are fully supported and all-inclusive: we provide the tour, meals, lodging, lead and sweep riders, a support vehicle to carry your gear, and a High Desert Adventures t-shirt. You bring a well prepared off-road capable motorcycle (or rent one from us).

Reservation Orders:

  • A twenty-five percent (25%) non-refundable transferable deposit is required to make a reservation with the balance due within 30 days of the adventure date (90 days prior for Baja adventures). If your plans change you may apply your deposit to a future ride.

Oregon BDR

See some of the most spectacular and remote areas of Central and Eastern Oregon while riding the original 900 mile Oregon Back country Discovery Route! Starting near the California / Oregon border, this fully supported yet self-guided tour allows riders to ride at their own pace in groups of two or three. This eight day adventure (six ride days) is intended for the intermediate or better rider with adequate trail-side mechanical abilities. Daily mileage is between 150 and 200 and the terrain varies from smooth service roads to near abandoned and rough rocky wagon roads. Included is all lodging, the GPS route, chase truck support to carry extra gear and luggage, an end of trip celebration dinner, rider and motorcycle transport from Walla Walla back to the starting point and the adventure of your life!

Tour of Oregon

The Tour of Oregon covers over 800 miles in five full days of riding throughout Central and Eastern Oregon. The terrain is designed for the intermediate rider and consists mostly of old two track wagon roads, logging roads and service roads. Riders should be comfortable with an average 150 - 200 miles per day. We visit the best and most interesting scenery, historical sites, restaurants and lodging in Central and Eastern Oregon including Hole in the Ground, Cowboy Dinner Tree, Hart Mountain Hot Springs, Table Rock, Hart Mountain Petroglyphs, Fremont Point, Fort Rock, Steens Mountain, Alvord Desert, East Lake Resort, Hotel Diamond and others.

Steens Tour

This tour will visit several abandoned and semi-inhabited towns from Northeastern Oregon’s mining heyday, the Steens Mountains and the Alvord Desert. We will stay and eat at the Eastern Oregon favorite Frenchglen Hotel. Terrain will be mostly gravel and forest service roads and pavement. This three day tour will cover over 200 miles each day. This tour is suitable for larger bore adventure style motorcycles!

Most of the Crown Jewels Tour route runs along Route 3 of the Oregon Back Country Discovery Route. We will connect to the OBDR by way of a variety of terrain and tracks and will finish on the super secret back country expressway! Approximately 450 miles over three full days of riding. Food and lodging is top notch – including the Diamond Lake Resort!

Wild West Desert Tour

On the Wild West Desert Tour we ride approximately 450 miles of trails, two track, logging and service roads over three full days. Heavyweights Adventure Tour

The tour blends scenic off road riding with a mixture of forest service roads, two track wagon paths, and OHV single track trails. The all inclusive four day tour is designed around larger bore adventure style motorcycles and includes all meals, lodging (some camping), chase support vehicle, expert guides and much more. We will explore fascinating geological sites like Fort Rock, Hole in the Ground, Crack in the Ground, Fremont Point, Fandango Canyon, Hart Mountain, a search for old military plane wreckage, Steens Mountain and so much more.

Idaho 5-Day Adventure

All-inclusive. Enjoy 3 nights of lodging in our rustic cabin, as well as 3 nights on the road. All meals and gas included. Five fun-filled days of riding, including all terrains: dual track, dirt roads, gravel and pavement.

Each day, we will stop at various points of interest and enjoy breathtaking views, while we talk about local history, including the Lewis and Clark expedition, the gold rush, the timber industry, and local mines.  Enjoy evenings with fellow riders, while we relax and talk about the highlights of our days.

We will visit areas of local interest, including the Lolo Motorway, Lochsa Lodge, Dworshak Reservoir, Grandad Bridge.

Riders will need the following: an Idaho OHV tag, a Potlatch recreational permit, a street-legal motorcycle, a valid motorcycle endorsement (if required by your home state), personal safety gear, including a helmet (mandatory in Idaho), eye protection (also required in Idaho), riding boots, gloves, etc.

Idaho 3-Day Adventure

Off-Road School

This off-road class will be approximately 4 hours in length.  We will begin at Swartz Canyon, just outside of Prineville about 15 minutes or so.  There is ample parking there and a great location for all the things we will be covering during the training.  You can truck / trailer out to this location or ride from the hotel if you are staying in town Thursday night.  

Lunch will be provided, typically a variety of sub sandwiches from Subway or the like. 

There will also be plenty of water and Gatorade to keep you hydrated during the training and a cold beverage at the end of the day.... so don't worry about packing a cooler.  We will have a couple of EZ-UP tents set up and tools on hand for any adjustments you might want to make to your bike.  The goal of the training is to improve on your current skill-set and make you a better overall off-road rider.

A few key points that will be covered:

Engine off basics:

  • Bike setup and maintenance - basic overview (20 min)

  • Setting suspension and making adjustments (know your sag!) (10 min)

  • Body position for various terrain to be encountered (5 min)

  • Safety and awareness while on the trail and during exercises (10 min)

On the bike:

  • Starting and stopping with purpose (20 min)

  • Sand, Rocks, Roots... embrace them all (20 min)

  • Corners and turning (both sitting and standing) (30 min)

  • Hill climb and descent (30 min)

  • Whoops... learn to love em. (20 min)

Lunch and Learn: 

  • "On the Trail" Tire changing basics... preparation is key

Final hour:

  • Repeat demonstration of "on the bike" lessons learned. (30 min)

  • Practice and individual coaching (30 min)

This location is very close to the Millican trail system.  At the end of the class if you want to go for a ride, you will be in a perfect spot to jump on the trails and go! 

Dinner will be at Dillon's in Prineville.
